$77, full buffet, open bar and all I had was a glass of water! All I did was talk at my highschool reunion.
I really enjoyed meeting up with some old friends in hopes of staying in touch with them now that there's so many different venues to do so. Facebook, myspace, classmates and simply email! As a matter of fact, the reunion was register on Classmates and so lots of people signed up and them found each other on Facebook and started updating everyone on what's happening in their lives ie: family, jobs, where they live including pictures so when I got to the reunion it's like, there was nothing left to talk about. BUT...I have to say, there's nothing like that personal face to face contact....uhm, talking.
Everyone from the class of '83 from a small town in CT looked absolultly fabulous. Really, no one looked old and tired out. Everyone seems to be taking care of themselves. Guess the ones who aren't keeping in shape didn't come?...?
I was surprized at how many single guys and girls there were. Alot of 2nd marriages too. And I don't feel so bad, alot who have never been married and are just enjoying life like myself.
Some shared memories that I forgot about....guess its called selective memory, like peeing in the mens room at a concert. I thought it was VanHalen...nope, Heart! ( I didn't think that was a big deal, but it burned into someones memory)
Funny part was trying to remember everyones names. There were a few I couldn't remember. We had to wear our highschool pic with name pinned on our shirts and alot of times I would be talking to someone and have no idea who they were. Or, I just couldn't remember their name and I felt so bad, but I didn't want to get caught looking at their highschool picture pinned on them so the second they would look away I would quickly look at their pic to get their name. By the end of the night was I like, screw it ....who are you?
Hope you enjoyed the holidays and had plenty of food, family and friends to spend time with.
smiles
